Books engineering completed in 1921 as theAn open book, its pages yellowed and brittle, rests on a dust covered desk inside Seika Dormitory. The room was one of many left largely intact after the July 2007 fire, personal belongings still in place years after residents were displaced. Built in 1927 by the Gakuso Foundation to house Taiwanese students studying in Tokyo, the dormitory stood sealed in Kohinata, Bunkyo ku until its demolition in 2013. Part of the Seika Dormitory series.
