Smoker can be put back to stock at any time if necessary. With one slider in upper bracket position 5" from bottom grill to slider and 3 3 4" on top of slider to top of smoker. With one slider in lower bracket position 2 3 4" from grill to slider and 5" on top of slider to top of smoker.
